Now serving as the third Pastor in the life of the over 50 year old ministry, Anderson Road Baptist Church, Dr. James is excited about bringing the ministry God has called him to share with others to the Southern/Southwest Houston area. He is a strong supporter of education both secular and spiritual as he emphasizes both as the focal point of his ministry. His first literary work, A Necessary Fall has been sold all over this nation. It is a book inspired by Paul’s Damascus road experience with God. A Necessary Fall supplies a glimpse into the path we all must take when God chooses to use us and the unmistakable purpose He gives us once we travel through the agony of the chastening. Using a mixture of scripture and bibliography Dr. James brings to life a vivid example of God’s desire for us all, to reach our full potential in Him! Brent’s life work, simply put is #pursuingwelldone.
Ministry & Worship leader
LaJena James reflects on her earliest memory of being in church, singing at the age of 5 next to her mom in the choir. It’s no surprise that she's been leading in ministry since that time.
LaJena James serves as a women's ministry leader, worship leader and outreach coordinator. Known for her ability to help guide women and girls in growing in their faith and in the word of God, LaJena provides inspiration, devotions and bible study techniques on her website, lajenajames.com.
She is particularly passionate about helping develop women to live a life that was already designed for them by God. After college, she experienced living out of the will of God and wanting to do her own thing only to find herself on a destructive path.
LaJena rededicated her life back to Christ and made the decision to believe boldly and live out the plans God had for her. After the debut of her first album in 2017, I Am More. She decided to launch a ministry in the same name. She wanted to teach women how to live a life that's pleasing to God and gain more within God's will.
"God has designed a life just for you, so position yourself to receive all that God has set up for you."
I Am More, is designed to inspire and grow young ladies and women through an annual conference, workshops and online community. Women gather for resources, networking and growing in their faith. Young ladies are equip with essentials to grow their faith, build social skills through etiquette workshops. LaJena speaks at conferences, retreats and schools in the Louisiana and Texas area.
A Louisiana native, LaJena holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications and a Masters in Higher Education. Her greatest joy is serving alongside her husband and children.
